Synopsis

The textbook deals with the issues of the discipline "Synthesis of planetary gears". It describes the design features, formulas for calculating internal gear ratios, rules for constructing kinematic and structural diagrams, and methods for selecting the main parameters of gears, including shaft diameters, meshing modules, bearings, and controls. Special attention is paid to the analysis of gear efficiency and comparison of their design solutions. It is intended for students studying in the fields of Mechanical Engineering and Transport in specialisations related to the structural and parametric synthesis of mechanical drives and transmissions.
