Synopsis

The monograph examines the main directions that enable the integration of active consumers with traditional and renewable energy sources, as well as energy storage systems, into a unified virtual power plant that ensures the balance of electrical energy within a local power system. To achieve this, an economic analysis of innovation activities in the energy sector was conducted, along with an assessment of consumer motivation for transitioning to the prosumer model. Detailed load profiles of residential consumers were analyzed to determine their characteristic parameters and potential sources of data acquisition. A virtual power plant model was developed based on previous research, refined, and implemented in the Python programming language. Additionally, the monograph explores the potential application of neural networks for load profile forecasting.
